About DK Environmental – Aquamog

We are a full service aquatic maintenance company located in Lafayette, California. Founded in 1996 by Dave McNabb. Dave started his aquatic career in 1980 with Aquatics Unlimited located in Martinez, California. In 1984 Dave became the very first Aquamog operator and has run the machines for the past 25 years. Every Aquamog operator around the world was either directly trained by Dave or by one of his trainees.

Since DK Environmental's (DK) inception in 1996 aquatic restoration projects have been done primarily in California. Projects such as the restoration and continued maintenance of Lake Machado for the City of Los Angeles. This project created over 20 acres of open water from once choked cattail infested waters. The open water in the form of channels provided water flow for flood control purposes and more importantly access for mosquito fish into areas once inaccessible. The City of Los Angeles avoided citations from the local vector control agency by having DK perform this work with their Aquamog fleet.

DK has also over the years dredge ponds, cleared channels, preformed mitigation plant, stream bank restoration, and numerous other habitat enhancement projects.
